Designer Research Zine

Over the course of a semester, I researched a Kinda Ghannoum, a contemporary designer who has had an impact on design today. I used this research to design, print, and assemble a zine. Using a grid structure, I created a unique layout for each page that would translate Ghannoum’s digital designs to a printed format.

Graphic Design II, Spring 2024, Adobe InDesign & Illustrator

One challenge of designing this zine was the logistical aspect of creating a foldout in the centerfold. I utilized the centerfold to display Ghannoum’s work on communicating the impact of a complicated civil war in a common, humanistic language that is understood no matter what country the viewer is from. The foldout added complexity to assembling the zine, and unfortunately does not translate to the digital format I embedded above.
