Book Cover Design
Taking elements from this flash fiction story named “Lessons in Weeding,” I composited images and typography together to design a book cover for the story. To create the lettering for “Lessons,” I thought it would be fitting to create it physically out of weeds. This process was inspired by designers and artists such as Lauren Hom who use image as type.

The original photo of the weeds I had arranged into lettering on white paper. I later took this image into Photoshop. Combining lettering I created physically with digitally composited images was a strength of this project.
